Welcome to the Hebammenpraxis Bellabauch!

The Practice Bellabauch, in the heart of the Hechtviertel, and easily reachable with the numbers 13, 7 and 8 tram, lies in the quiet green garden house of Hechtstrasse 23.

At Bellabauch, we offer an all inclusive service to mothers from the beginning of the pregnancy right up to approximately 3 months after the birth. Each pregnancy has the option of alternating all Pre-Natal midwife consultations with their own doctor visits, thus combining the expertise of both professions. Almost all services offered by us at Bellabauch are fully covered by the mother’s health insurance.

The Beleggeburt-system ensures that the mother is assigned a midwife of her choosing, who not only accompanies her to the birth, but carries out all pre and post natal support. For the birth itself we have chosen the Diakonissenkrankenhaus, located in Dresden’s Neustadt. For an individualised birth process it is advised that mothers sign up for visits and courses with us as soon as possible.

After the birth we continue the support to the mother at home, for normally a period of around 8 weeks. During these Post-Natal visits, the mother, in familiar surroundings, will be guided through the early stages of motherhood as well as back care techniques and breast feeding.
At around 8-12 weeks further back-care courses are recommended, in order to ensure good posture and a healthy spine, further helping new mothers to adjust to the changes and continue to keep healthy. Alongside these courses we also run baby-massage further nurturing the bond between mother and child.

Using traditional, herbal and holistic techniques (homeopathy, acupuncture to name a few) we guide parents through the birth process and help them take the first steps towards a new life. We encourage mothers to listen to their own maternal instincts, sharing our wealth of experience, wherever and whenever the mother may need it.
